We are delighted that the Sandford Lido will be supporting the Chamwell Centre for the Swim Across the Moon appeal to build a new centre for disabled children and young people in Gloucestershire. Hydrotherapy will be at the heart of this centre so it is so fitting that Lido swimmers will be part of our fundraising.
The Lido will give £2 to the Chamwell Centre for every entry fee during the week beginning 16th July. There will be a leader board where swimmers supporting our appeal can log their lengths and at the end of the week there will be awards for the most lengths for under 11s, 11-18 year-olds, and adults. Season ticket holders will be invited to contribute the Chamwell Centre appeal to provide a centre for disabled children and young people throughout Gloucestershire who will benefit so much from the new hydrotherapy pool at the heart of the centre.
We are delighted that Ollie Wilkinson – world record holding long-distance swimmer and trainer at the Lido, is supporting our appeal. He says ‘ The Lido swimmers are a great group of people and I am sure they will support the Chamwell Centre in building a new hydrotherapy pool in a fantastic centre for disabled kids in Gloucestershire.’
Please do join in and swim for us. Our Swim Across the Moon appeal needs your help.
