Meet Harriet — our inspirational children’s swim teacher at Chamwell. Every day she empowers children with additional needs in the pool. Now, she’s taking her courage and determination to new heights — literally!
The Chamwell Centre Charity, established in 2021 and opened by HRH The Princess Royal, aims to enhance the lives of children and adults with disabilities and additional needs in Gloucestershire. We offer accessible leisure facilities including a hydrotherapy pool, soft play area, outdoor adventure playground, and community café. The Centre provides opportunities for social interaction and volunteer experience, fostering inclusivity and community integration. It serves as a safe space where individuals, regardless of their disabilities, can participate in activities that promote physical, mental, and social well-being, thereby empowering them to improve their skills and quality of life.
We have a dedicated fundraising section on our website, where you will find details of how you can help and support us. This ensures that we can continue to offer all our services to those who need them and to introduce new and exciting activities in the future.

This summer, our superstar Lewin came to The Chamwell Centre 15 times during the holidays with his mum, Vicky!
The Chamwell Centre was built entirely by charitable funding and will rely on the generosity of the public, businesses and charitable trusts to continue its work and to ensure that children and adults in Gloucestershire can enjoy its facilities.
